CONVENTIONS

I will be adding pictures and fun here relating to past shows, appearances and conventions and ohh boy, is there a lot of stuff!!!
I've met some great people and made some good friends too so thank you EVERYONE!!

Now that I'm focusing on more performing and producing I'll have to kind of retire from all that traveling. It sure takes it out of ya!

Here's a mini report from Mountain-Con II

This was my first time in Salt Lake City. Rarely have I been treated so well at any convention. both the organizers and fans alike were as nice as you could ever see. I hate to mention names at the risk of missing someone but.... well, a BIG thanks to Carl, Jani, Erin, Tye and Dave and all the others who offered such fantastic support. You should all be given medals..... (er, not by me cos I don't have any, but if I did... you would all get 'em).

We all had an awesome VIP dinner buffet on the Friday night. Guests had the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the actors and later get them signed if they wanted. The pictures turned out GREAT! Also we were all treated to sneak preview of "To Serve All My Days" Hosted, presented by and starring Walter Koenig. A real treat.

Where would we have been without all that Starbucks and buckets of food at lunchtime? What more could I ask for? Well nothing. It was perfect. I was actually surprised at the large turnout for my Q&A session. I had some great questions actually which certainly made me think.

It's also fun when different universes meet. Can you believe I had never met any of the other guests before? At this show we had Star Wars meets Battlestar Galactica meets Star Trek. Richard Hatch and I compared notes on our documentary making. He's been working on an independent educational project with a documentary slant. Who knew? Oh and I mustn't forget the generosity of Brian Wiser, one of the producer's of the Firefly and Serenity documentary. Can't wait to see the DVD! Mary Rice, Mary Linda Rapelye and Craig Richard Nelson were all very sweet and fun to talk to. I had a nice little chat with Walter Koenig. I told him that without Star Trek there may not have been Star Wars. He told me the reverse may be true and said that Star Wars helped with the revival and interest of the movies and ongoing TV series. So what goes around comes around I suppose. One big happy galaxy!

I can honestly say this is the real deal and if anyone can get to M-C III next year do so. They have bigger plans for next year and you will be happy!!!

Below is a nice photo of the guests. Top to bottom, left to right is:
Mike Quinn, Richard Hatch, Craig Richard Nelson, William Sargent, John Trimble, Mary Rice, Actress (I'll fill her name in shortly) Walter Koenig, Mary Linda Rapelye and Byo Trimble.

Now, while Most organizers and promoters have been wonderful to deal with, I have had more than my fair share of incompetent hosts who either cancel on me, bounce checks, break actual contracts or simply try to disappear off the face of the earth. Now this is not professional or acceptable. For the ones that finally made it right, you are off the hook. But for those who still have outstanding accounts with me, watch out. You WILL be posted here in my
HALL OF SHAME for all the world to know. Once you have paid your debts to me, I will remove you. Sounds fair to me.

So, onward and upward!
