Here's where you can learn
more of my acting. This is when I come out form under the
puppet and show my face. I'll be adding little things here
and there so look back in. You never know what you might
find.

ROPE
In 2003 I
performed Brandon, a principle character in the pre-Hitchcock
London 1929 play version of Rope. Brandon was a juicy role as
he was an English murderer who thought he could execute the
"perfect crime".
After getting the part, I decided to do a little research on
the origins of this play. Well I about fell off my chair when
I read that the first person to play Brandon in 1929 was a
young actor from the Royal Shakespeare Company named
Sebastian Shaw, who later went on to play the unmasked Vader
(Anakin) in Return of the Jedi! We were in the same movie
together!!!
Sebastian
Shaw I like to think that at this
same time, Alfred Hitchcock would regularly visit the London
theaters and saw Sebastian in Rope and kept this in the back
of his mind, until he was able to adapt it for film in 1948.
I believe at this same time he was shooting his first sound
movie, Blackmail at Elstree studios, the same studio we shot
Jedi at. Cool huh?
Below are some images of my interpretation of Brandon in
Rope.
